Fortunate is the individual who makes a large-item purchase transaction without any bank loan or credit score investigation whatsoever, also avoiding dangerous scrutiny of government agencies such as the IRS.

But unless one pays the total amount in full right off for a large-ticket item, the seller usually has no assurance that increment payments for that item will actually be done, and on time. Greed-based application of interest on loans is imposed, whatever the percentage, disregarding Scriptural imperatives:

Exodus 22:25 If you lend money to any of my people with you who is poor, you shall not be to him a creditor, and you shall not exact interest (sometimes called: "usury") from him.

Leviticus 25:36 Take no interest from him or increase, but fear your God, that your brother may live beside you.
Leviticus 25:37 You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.

[ NOTE: No wonder no-interest-imposing Jews as a God-blessed minority have financially survived as a nation, and thrived! ]

Deuteronomy 23:19 You shall not lend upon interest to your brother, interest on money, interest on victuals, interest on anything that is lent for interest.
Deuteronomy 23:20 To a foreigner you may lend upon interest, but to your brother you shall not lend upon interest, that the LORD your God may bless you in all that you undertake in the land which you are entering to take possession of.

Imposing interest on loans usually involves banks, as even stated in the New Testament of the Holy Bible:

Matthew 25:26 But his master answered him: "You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not planted, and gather where I have not plowed?
Matthew 25:27 Then you ought to have invested my money with the bankers, and at my coming I should have received what was my own with interest.

Luke 19:20 Then another came, saying: "Lord, here is your pound, which I kept laid away in a napkin,
21 because I was afraid of you, because you are a severe man; you take up what you did not lay down, and reap what you did not plant."
22 He said to him: "I will condemn you out of your own mouth, you wicked servant! You knew that I was a severe man, taking up what I did not lay down and reaping what I did not plant?
23 Why then did you not put my money into the bank, and at my coming I should have collected it with interest?"
24 And He said to those who stood by: "Take the pound from him, and give it to him who has the ten pounds."
25 And they said to Him: "Lord, [but already] he has ten pounds!"
26 "I tell you, that to every one who has will more be given, but from him who has not, even what he has will be taken away.
27 But as for these enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me."

Hence, the bank loans dependent upon satisfactory credit score will also the legal entanglements are typical.

And there is a point in discouraging binding both supplier of and receiver of bank-related loans such as medical and student and car loans and especially mortgages, necessarily involving questionable credit scores, from a Biblical point of view concordant with the archaic but yet-admirable axiom: "If you don't have the money to pay for it, do not buy it:

Proverbs 22:7 The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.

and:

Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another, because whoever loves his neighbor has fulfilled the Law.

and:

First Thessalonians 4:11 . . . aspire to live quietly, to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we charged you,
First Thessalonians 4:12 so that you may command the respect of outsiders, and be dependent on nobody.

Disregarding the above Scripture is one cause why house prices and new auto prices are riduculously too high (they should be a tenth of what they now are, across the board), because loans obviously cause inflation, inflation causes unresolvable debt from too much expense and not enough income, resulting in all sorts of sinful anti-social attitudes, hostilities, and destructive harm against all involved.

Greed for more, or "having a champagne appetite on a beer budget" without being able to responsibly afford it, violates the following mandates of the Lord Jesus and those who belong to Him:

Luke 3:14 Soldiers also asked him: "And we, what shall we do?" And he said to them: "Rob no one by violence or by false accusation, and be content with your wages."

This webauthor has - more and more - been noticing 'HOME For Sale' lawn signs along the road pointing to townhouses and condominiums. Notice that the signs do not state: 'HOUSE For Sale.' Why not?

When one buys into a townhouse or a condominium does one does get a title to the building and/or the land it is on? DOES one instead merely get a piece of paper stating affiliation to an "association" relating to the non-separable-and-limited part of the building and/or land such resides on? WHO exactly does own titles to either or both the building as a whole and/or the land such resides on? City or country bureacrats - many times - fund (through tax revenues) the contractor title owners, dependant upon city or county funding for constructing cookie-cuttered socialistic/communistic-like ghetto-reminiscent living cells for community peasants at large and thus beholding to make-things-hard-for-homeowners zoning/inspection/appraising nitpicky-rules-imposing City-Council bureaucrats.

If you now pay $700 rent for a house or apartment, that works out to be about $16,000 a year in rent and $160,000 in ten years...but you can move out any time you want, utilities might be paid for by the landlord, there is no worry about property taxes or lawn care or association fees or suddently-new-and-expensive zoning regulations you are responsible for.

In dire contrast, if you pay $300,000 for a townhouse or condo, you would have to live MUCH longer (i.e. years and years, possibly at the time your cemetery plot would no longer be vacant) to equal what you would have paid in apartment rent, and you do not have title nor deed to either the building nor the land, you pay the variable-rate Association Fee, new Association Rules can be imposed at any time [which if not complied with within a limited amount of time cause you to promptly be ousted], might be responsible for some property taxes in some situations, and you are virtually locked in to staying without quick and mobile escape to live somewhere else in the event of new incoming irritating neighbors with barking pets, shrieking kids, chain-smokers stink, thud-thud-permeating-bass rap-"music" stereos, death, job relocation, etc.

The way to help prevent predatory lending, loan sharking, and foreclosures.....

...is to drastically reduce house prices in the first place -
eventually to 1/10th of what they are presently.....

....Reduce equity values of houses to 1/10th of what they are presently......

.....Reduce property taxes on housing to 1/10th of what they are presently - and even more to particularly Christian parents who register with the State promising to either homeschool their kids or have their children attend parochial or private schools not supported by property taxes (which property taxes support only public schools).


The poor and low-income who work the low-paying manual-labor jobs
for the richer, will greatly benefit.


Greedy present-house-owners, construction developers, realtors,
city and county-government zoning, inspector and appraisal bureaucrats, mortgage bankers, related investors, and house insurers
who have in effect oppressed the poor and impoverished....
will simply have to bite the bullet and share their wealth

house prices in the near future have to be
ONE FIFTH of what they are as of August 2007.


As present-house-owners, landlords, realtors, city/county-government
bureaucrat appraisers, and mortgage bankers are ashamed
to post on For Sale signs the overly-high prices
for apartments, houses, office buildings, and warehouses....
there must be in the near future judicially-supported federal legislation
requiring the posting of prices on all of those properties
with structures thereon on the For Sale signs for such real estate.

Speaking of weaselwords, the term Affordable Housing to wealthy realtors, developers, and landlords (who connive a comfortable living by raising rents and inflating purchase prices of houses against monetarily-poor economically-disadvantaged bonafide Christians) interpret the term as high prices only those connivers can and should afford!

What [true] Christians actually need is inexpensive houses of their own - very inexpensive houses of their own (and of course the land such are situated on).....not rented nor leased nor shared with some restrictive and nitpicky-rules-concocting condominium or townhouse association.

Remember, although it is claimed that people "own their own unit" of a condominium or townhouse, the "common areas" and "the building" are owned by ALL "owners" of the building (whoever "they" are or night become) - and "the owners" are owned by Title-and-Deed-to-the-building-and-land City or County assessors, inspectors, and other bureaucrats who funded the contractors who built the building with public property and other taxes....which government owners can impose their own peculiar and discriminatory interpretation of "human" and "civil" "rights" relating to which, if a condo or townhouse occupant does not comply with such, will soon find himself or herself ousted from the premises using various tactics and nitpicky red-tape regulations. "Owners" elect a "board of directors" (whoever "they" are or night become) from "their members" (again, whoever "they" are or who might become). Even worse are Cooperatives in which residents do not own their own unit, the building, nor the property...but instead occupy space as "shareholders" having a mere "share of stock" which can and is altered at will by the "board of director" "association" (whoever "they" are of might become become, with or without your approval, in effect).

Get-Rich-Quick Real-Estate Seminars advertised on late-late-night paid TV infomercials and bulk-mailed snail-mail solicitations (even those involving "no-doc" loans and "assumable" mortgages involving the "flipping" of house ownership with one-loan-pays-another paper-trail wealth) are based on two premises:

(1) You taking out loans "using other people's money" and

(2) You then greatly inflating house prices in cohoots with greedy and conniving sweet-deal assessors working through county appraisers.

Notice, though, that the sucker who falls for such schemes has not only gone into the financial hole purchasing the property and building thereon, but is now immediately subject to annual property taxes himself, subject to monthly utilities, security, and maintenance upkeep on the building.

It's a house of cards....creating NON-affordable housing against the poor who don't want to buy into the entire debt-based realty system!

Again, the high-powered real-estate tycoons who broadcast late late night half-hour paid-advertising commercials for making a huge profit in buying "pennies on the dollar" cheap houses and land in tax-lien certificate auctions relating to foreclosures and repossessions do not tell you the down side:

If you buy those properties, YOU then pay the relentless and substantial property taxes, building improvement costs for bringing things up to Code, responsibility for all sorts of strange written and non-written liens against the property, and other taxes related to capital-gain-type income. In order to make any kind of even a small profit, the buildings or lands bought must be sold at inflated prices set by the municipal county assessor which FEW can afford and YOU have to continually pay those expenses on if not sold.

The Lord's elect have no use for so-called nondiscriminatory/fair-housing/equal-opportunity human/civil rights meddlers imposing preferential treatment to:

(1) racist black, chinese, russian, arab, or similar minority quotas
(2) illegal hispanic aliens
(3) rival-gang thugs and mischief-making vandals
(4) rebellious white women (living off the alimony of men who divorced them because of their adultery or sexist noncooperation), mated with black men in mixed marriages....and/or non-submissive snotty sexist-chauvenist alimony-rich divorcees and insubordinate feminist twits claiming battered women "abuse" and "harassment" against hardworking and trusting former husbands

One property-tax-free way for genuine Christians to have their own property-tax-free land upon which they build small houses or have trailer pads for trailer homes is to set up and utilize "deacon lots" on property-tax-exempt [or better yet, property-tax-free] church property. Two main qualifications for acquiring and residing on such "deacon lots" would be that the householder be a "deacon" with the church possessing the tax-exempt or (better yet) tax-free property, [thus becoming and staying a member of that church] and show in his possession a KJV, RSV, and NASV Bible to the pastor-manager at the time of application.
